With the No. 1 overall pick in Thursday’s Major League Soccer SuperDraft, expansion side Inter Miami CF made Clemson’s Robbie Robinson the newest addition to the club.
A forward with a high-ceiling, Robinson won the MAC Hermann trophy this year, an award given to the top player in college soccer. He scored 18 goals this past season and helped lead Clemson to an appearance in the ACC title game and the quarterfinals of the NCAA tournament.
Robinson, 21, is the latest inclusion in the attack of a still-growing Inter Miami roster. He joins fellow forwards Juan Agudelo, Julián Carranza and Jerome Kiesewetter.
