Injury-riddled Magic get Michael Carter-Williams back as they face Kings

To be sure, the Magic got some good news — albeit a small piece — before Friday’s game against the Sacramento Kings.

Reserve guard Michael Carter-Williams returned to the lineup against the Kings after missing 19 straight contests because of a sprained left foot.

Magic coach Steve Clifford said before tipoff Carter-Williams would start and be on a “pretty significant” minutes restriction.

“It will be great to have him out there,” Clifford said. “He’s an important piece of our team so it’s great to have him back.”

Ironically, Carter-Williams had made two starts at shooting guard for the injured Evan Fournier before hurting his foot Jan.
