If Bucs and other NFL players are so worried about COVID, why don’t they get vaccinated? | Commentary

I’m confused about why the Tampa Bay Bucs and a growing number of other NFL clubs are announcing this week through the NFL Players Association that they will not formally report to their respective team facilities for voluntary offseason workouts purportedly because of COVID concerns.

Secondly, couldn’t we easily alleviate the COVID concerns if all of the players — and I know this is a radical idea — actually got VACCINATED?

This is about the NFL Players Association doing what they’ve been wanting to do for years: Eliminating the in-person Offseason Team Activities (OTAs) and the mandatory mini-camps in May and June.
