DAVIE — Three weeks until the opener, the Miami Dolphins remain in those personable caretaker’s hands. Quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick showed why again Saturday near the end of the first week of practices in a preseason as abbreviated as it is important.

Boom. Fitzpatrick hit DeVante Parker deep down the left side. Boom. Hit Mike Gesicki over the middle. Boom. Hit Preston Williams down the right side.
