Giancarlo Stanton hits another home run to help lift Yankees over Blue Jays, add to their Wild Card lead

Maybe there is something to the idea that all those bumps and bruises the Yankees took along the way to this final week of the season were good for something. The Bombers’ experience in overcoming mistakes, poor play and injuries seems to have hardened them to the unexpected. So, Tuesday night when starter Jameson Taillon had to leave his first start back from the injured list with another ankle issue, the Yankees just plowed on.

Giancarlo Stanton hit his fourth home run in four games, Aaron Judge homered and drove in another run on a sacrifice fly, Michael King and the bullpen picked up the ball from Taillon and the Yankees scored a huge 7-2 win over the Blue Jays at Rogers Centre.
