Gators WR Trevon Grimes plans to play in 2020 after briefly sitting out

Senior wide receiver Trevon Grimes indicated Thursday night on his Twitter account he planned to play in 2020 despite sitting out the first week of camp along with fellow wideouts Jacob Copeland and Kadarius Toney and defensive end Zach Carter.

Carter earlier in the day signaled on his social media account he expected to rejoin the team despite coronavirus concerns amplified by the recent hospitalization of this father and a family friend. The virus has claimed the lives of more than 174,000 Americans.

Grimes, UF’s top returning wide receiver, did share his reason for missing the team’s first four practices this week.
