Florida State veteran defensive tackle Marvin Wilson delivered an emotional message via Instagram outlining the way the football team is uniting and pledging to make three significant changes after a dispute with the coaching staff.
Wilson posted on Instagram Thursday, “Took a stand we got what we wanted & we are moving forward!!! I appreciate [coach Mike Norvell] for encouraging me to use my platform and speak for what me and teammates believe in. Be the change that you need when you was growing up and help build black communities up and take back what is ours."
An FSU football team meeting was called after Wilson questioned the accuracy of a statement Norvell gave about racial injustice and said his outraged teammates were refusing to participate in workouts.
