With his dad in tow most every step of the way during an official recruiting visit to UConn this past weekend, it was hard for Donovan Branch to surprise Quentin Branch on Father’s Day.
Nonetheless, the Winter Garden Foundation Academy senior defensive end provided his father with a nice gift when he committed to play for the Huskies on Sunday.
“Since he was with me I couldn’t really surprise him, but he said he didn’t want anything for Father’s Day but for me to be happy and committed to UConn,” said Donovan Branch, who was on the visit with his parents, including his mother Denitra Branch.
