The emergency is not related to COVID-19, but will pull the pitcher away from the league indefinitely.
The St. Cloud native and Harmony High alum was team captain — and essentially the general manager — of her team during the past two weeks of the Athletes Unlimited season. Her duties as a captain in the innovative new softball league included drafting and selecting her own team, which was set to compete on Sunday.
She also held the No. 2 ranking in the league’s leaderboard, a feature of the league that allows players compete as individuals as well as members of their respective teams.
