Since 1978, the Florida Blue Florida Classic has stood tall as one of our nation’s premier festivals of Black excellence, and for nearly a quarter century, the annual rivalry game between Bethune-Cookman University and Florida A&M University has called Orlando home.
We value the longstanding support of the Central Florida community, which has helped grow “Classic Week” into the nation’s largest showcase between two historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs), and we’re proud of all the Classic represents: An explosion of culture, a reunion of friends and families, and a recognition of the importance of these two HBCUs to Florida and the world.
