The First Academy (1-0) leaned on seniors Terrence Mosley II and Dinari Bennett on Thursday while rumbling and slashing its way to a convincing 42-12 football win vs. visiting West Oaks Academy (0-1).
Mosley and Bennett combined to rush for nearly 200 yards in the first half while helping the Royals establish a 21-12 lead that would never be contested.
Mosley, a physical rusher, scored two of his three TDs in the third quarter. Bennett, a shifty speedster, reached the end zone twice in the first half and added another TD with nearly two minutes to play.
