Orlando area girls volleyball teams have claimed at least one state championship in 15 of the past 16 seasons.
That run includes titles won in each of the past five years by Bishop Moore (2015, 2016), Winter Springs (2015), The First Academy (2016), West Orange (2017), Oviedo (2018), Geneva School (2018) and Hagerty (2019).
There are 16 area teams still in the running for 2020 Florida High School Athletic Association championships going into region semifinal matches over the next two days.
