Maxi Urruti scored twice against his former team on Saturday, but the Montreal Impact’s hopes were cut short by FC Dallas’ stoppage time equalizer.
Ricardo Pepi’s goal denied the Impact a first-ever MLS win in the state of Texas. Zdenek Ondrasek added the other second half goal to give both teams a 2-2 draw at Toyota Stadium.
After a scoreless first half, the Impact broke the deadlock at the 59th minute. Maxi Urruti scored his second goal in as many games on a rebound off the post. Saphir Taider sent an overhead through pass inside the six-yard box for Orji Okwonkwo, and the Nigerian headed the ball onto the left goal post and the rebound fell onto Urruti.
