During his redshirt freshman season, Kindley was named to the All-SEC Freshman Team by league coaches after starting seven of 15 games at right guard. Kindley started all 14 games at left guard during his redshirt sophomore campaign as he became one of three winners of the Most Improved Offensive Player award. He remained at the left guard position for the 2019 season, starting 11 of 13 contests before missing action due to a lower right leg injury.
