Edgewater safety/receiver Tommi Hill committed to Arizona State on Wednesday night, but his choice was not nearly as surprising as the timing.
Hill, who received his first football scholarship offer before he even reached high school, had plenty of schools to choose from and had narrowed his choices to a top-six list of Arizona State, Arkansas, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Penn State.
Hill told the Orlando Sentinel last month, however, that he did not plan to announce his decision until either August or at the end of the upcoming football season. That changed as he mulled over his plans.
