Dolphins release two of last year’s starting offensive linemen

The Miami Dolphins’ massive makeover of their offensive line this offseason led to the departure of two of last year’s starting linemen.

The Dolphins began trimming their roster Friday night, releasing a number of players, and former University of Miami offensive lineman Danny Isidora and second-year guard Shaq Calhoun were the most recognizable names.

Isidora, who Miami acquired in a trade from the Minnesota Vikings this time last year, started three games at right guard for the Dolphins last season before a foot injury landed him on injured reserve.

Calhoun, who made the Dolphins’ 53-man regular-season roster as an undrafted rookie from Mississippi State, started seven of the 10 games he played in Miami last season.
