Dolphins Q&A: Why did Miami trade for Lynn Bowden Jr., who was struggling with Raiders?

Here’s the latest installment of our Miami Dolphins Q&A, where South Florida Sun Sentinel writers Safid Deen and Omar Kelly answer questions from readers.

Bowden had a unique college career, going from a high school quarterback to a utility offensive weapon, to full-time receiver, and then back to quarterback at Kentucky.

He’s been dynamic with the ball in his hands, evident when injury forced him to play under center and he averaged 171.1 rushing yards per game over eight starts for the Wildcats, which averaged 29.5 points in those games.

He’s ultra quick, and has the ability to change directions on a dime, which explains why the Las Vegas Raiders used a 2020 third-round pick to draft him.
