Dolphins place D.J. Fluker on injured reserve, add another O-lineman

The grizzled veteran the Miami Dolphins added this offseason to provide its offensive line some veteran leadership was placed on injured reserve, and is expected to receive an injury settlement, likely ending his tenure with the team.

D.J. Fluker, a former Alabama standout who has started 96 games in his eight year NFL career, suffered a meniscus tear in one of his knees and underwent arthroscopic surgery according to the NFL Network.

Fluker, a 30-year-old whom the Dolphins signed to a one-year deal worth $1,075,000 this offseason, was initially placed on the Physically Unable to Perform list.
