Dolphins camp: Jason McCourty moved to cornerback; stock up, stock down and other Wednesday observations

MIAMI GARDENS — Desperate times call for desperate measures, and it seems we’ve reached that point with the Miami Dolphins’ secondary.

The Dolphins are seemingly having open auditions to find a cornerback worthy of replacing Xavien Howard, who seems to be sitting out training camp practices because of a contract dispute with the team — though coach Brian Flores has said he has an ankle injury.

Noah Igbinoghene, who the Dolphins selected with the 30th pick in the 2020 NFL draft, spent the first week of camp as the starter placed opposite Byron Jones. But his daily struggles got him replaced by Nik Needham on Monday.
