As the Miami Dolphins’ highest-paid player, cornerback Byron Jones has high expectations to lead and perform. But he also does not let that fact deter who is he on the field.
As the Dolphins ended their mandatory minicamp this week before the final month of the offseason, Jones may have delivered a subtle message to both his team and fellow cornerback Xavien Howard with this statement:
“I keep it very simple for myself. Whether I was a rookie, a second/third-year guy getting paid minimum or the guy who’s getting paid the most, you bring your A-game every single day,” Jones said.
