Dolphins agree to trade running back Kalen Ballage to New York Jets

The Dolphins agreed to a rare trade with their division rival New York Jets on Thursday, agreeing to send Ballage in exchange for a late-round conditional pick, the Sun Sentinel has confirmed.

Ballage will get a fresh start in New York by reuniting with former Dolphins coach Adam Gase, who drafted him in Miami, and veteran Frank Gore, who took him under his wing as a rookie in 2018.

Ballage, a fourth-round pick by the Dolphins, failed to make an impression during the first two weeks of training camp after averaging an abysmal 1.8 yards per carry during the 2019 season.
