Dolphins activate three players from COVID-19 list; five players still withheld

One day after the Miami Dolphins added six players to their reserve/COVID-19 list, the team removed three players from the list Friday.

Dolphins starting defensive tackle Davon Godchaux, new defensive lineman Shaq Lawson and rookie safety Brandon Jones are now able to return to the team’s practice facility and participate in team activities.

NFL players are required to be designated to the reserve/COVID-19 list if they either test positive or have come in close contact with someone who has tested positive.

Outside of the roster designation, NFL teams are not permitted to discuss a player’s medical status.
