Two weeks into the month of November and with a record number of college football games affected by COVID-19, College Football Playoff executive director Bill Hancock remains confident the semifinals will proceed on time and without delay.
“There are lots of rumors out there, but the commissioners continue to support playing the games as scheduled,” Hancock told the Orlando Sentinel Friday.
As numbers continue to climb across the country, the virus has forced the postponement or cancellation of at least 15 games scheduled for Saturday. That brings the total number of games impacted this season to 63 and does not include games scheduled for next week that already have been postponed or canceled.
