What started off as the Jeremiah Connelly Show on Friday night, quickly turned into the CJ Baxter Show as Edgewater’s 1-2 punch carried the Eagles to a 49-6 route of rival Bishop Moore in the Battle of College Park.
The home team was scoring early and often, setting up the second half for a running clock as Edgewater, thanks to two touchdowns from Connolly and three from Baxter, rolled up a 42-6 halftime lead. Baxter had 175 yards rushing by halftime, and Connolly had 66 yards receiving and the Edgewater coaching staff shut them down for the second half.
