Record-setting senior quarterback Casey St. John was responsible for five Boone High School touchdowns in the first half and the Braves scored a decisive 59-21 district win over Freedom on Friday night.
He’s now the all-time leader for touchdown passes with 46 for one of the oldest schools in Orlando. St. John threw for four TDs and ran for another on Friday. He connected with junior receiver Aiden Mizell for three scores, including an 80-yard touchdown pass towards the end of the first half.
After a disappointing result last week against Winter Park, the Braves (3-1) were motivated to bounce back from the loss.
