Two state title teams and a torrent of fast times, big jumps and rapid relays highlighted a historic boys high school track and field season this spring.
Standing atop the list of 2021 Orlando area standouts is Athlete of the Year Ethan Exilhomme, who piled up points for his Timber Creek team. The Northeastern University signee won the 110-meter high hurdles and had top four finishes in all four of his events at the Class 4A state meet. His 13.67-second time in the hurdles ranks No. 2 nationally for the season.
Class 2A Bishop Moore and 1A Mount Dora Christian won state team titles to give the Orlando area two FHSAA winners for the first time in 55 years.
