Last week’s “District of Death” tournament was the end of the rugged road for two Sentinel Super 16 boys basketball teams — West Orange and Apopka.
And the two top seeds in Class 3A District 4, Windermere Prep and The Master’s Academy, also fell. But 12 of the 16 teams in the current Orlando area rankings stayed alive and advanced in the 2021 Florida High School Athletic Association state playoffs.
Undefeated Orlando Christian Prep, winners of 42 consecutive games over two seasons, leads the list. Seminole, last season’s Class 7A state runner-up, is the new team in this week’s Super 16.
