Gabriel Davis didn’t watch the Super Bowl. It hurt too much. Davis and the Buffalo Bills fell one game shy of making it to the big game, and he preferred to ignore Tom Brady winning his seventh Super Bowl ring.
“I couldn’t watch it because it made my stomach hurt,” Davis said, “I feel like we should have been there.”
Davis was back in his hometown element Thursday night, proving you might be able to take the boy out of Sanford, but you can’t take Sanford out of the boy.
He was one of the top rookie receivers in the NFL this past season, but to the fans back home he’s just Gabe.
