INDIANAPOLIS — Baylor won its first men’s basketball national title, while ending Gonzaga’s bid for a perfect season, with an 86-70 victory Monday night at Lucas Oil Stadium.
The Bears (28-2) dominated throughout against the Bulldogs (31-1), who were looking to become the first Division I men’s basketball team since Indiana in 1976 to complete a championship season undefeated.
