Miami Hurricanes quarterback D’Eriq King is making encouraging progress in his recovery from a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee suffered in UM’s Dec. 29 Cheez-It Bowl loss to Oklahoma State.
“D’Eriq is just doing D’Eriq King things in the training room with his rehab,” Miami coach Manny Diaz said on Friday. “He’s smashing every benchmark and every goal that they put in front of him to the point where you almost have to slow him down.
“At first, it was on crutches. Then, you see him walking around. The other day, he was in the weight room and he’s on an exercise bike.
