ORLANDO, Fla. – Dec. 31, 2015 – The Orlando Pride National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) team forward Alex Morgan and goalkeeper Ashlyn Harris have been called up by U.S. Women’s National Team (USWNT) Head Coach Jill Ellis for the team’s opening training camp in 2016.
Set to occur in Carson, California, from Jan. 5 – Jan. 21, the 26-player training camp will lead into the USWNT’s first match of the year against the Republic of Ireland on Jan. 23 at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego (2 p.m. PT, FS1).
“With our inaugural season just around the corner, this is a great opportunity for Alex and Ashlyn to continue preparing at a high level for the NWSL campaign,” said Orlando Pride Head Coach Tom Sermanni.
