Aaron Gordon sits as Magic face Hornets in first game of back-to-back set

The Orlando Magic will face the Charlotte Hornets tonight without power forward Aaron Gordon, who will miss the game with hip and back soreness.

Gary Clark will go in place of Gordon as the Magic will use their seventh starting lineup of the season. Clark also started Jan. 8 in Houston when Gordon sat for injury management on his left hamstring.

Magic coach Steve Clifford said Gordon went through extra treatment today with the hope that he will be ready for Monday’s game against the Hornets as the teams complete a back-to-back set. Clifford said the 37 minutes Gordon played during Friday’s 120-118 overtime loss to the Pacers were a factor.
