Aaron Gordon opens press conference by seeking ‘justice for Breonna Taylor’

Orlando Magic forward Aaron Gordon used the NBA restart platform to speak out about the lack of arrests following the killing of Breonna Taylor.

Before fielding questions from the media after the Magic’s scrimmage loss to the Los Angeles Clippers Wednesday, Gordon opened with a statement.

“I truly believe there needs to be justice for Breonna Taylor,” he said. “I’m very disappointed that her murderers are still on the loose, and I really feel that we need to do a better job of bringing justice to that situation.”

Taylor, a Black emergency medical technician in Louisville, was asleep in bed with her boyfriend on March 13 when three undercover police officers — Jonathan Mattingly, Brett Hankison and Myles Cosgrove — charged into her home at 12:43 a.
