3 things we learned from Orlando Pride draw with North Carolina Courage

The Orlando Pride played their first match of the year on Saturday, earning a scoreless draw against the North Carolina Courage. Here are three takeaways from the match:

Orlando Pride defender Toni Pressley, who beat breast cancer last season, and striker Sydney Leroux, who hadn’t started a match in two years after the birth of her daughter, both were featured during Saturday’s match against the Courage.

At centerback, Pressley held down the core of the Pride defense, making 10 clearances — seven of which were from the box.

On the attack, Leroux looked sharp in her position as the primary striker for the Pride.
