Xavier Crawford, Oregon State cornerback, named USA Today Freshman All-American

Oregon State cornerback Xavier Crawford has been named a freshman All-American by USA Today.

Crawford, who started all 12 games in his first collegiate season, tied for the team lead with 10 pass breakups and added 70 tackles and one interception as part of a secondary that ranked 44th nationally in pass defense at 211.2 yards allowed per game.

Earlier this month, Crawford was named an All-Pac-12 honorable mention
selection.
