Oregon State is 5-1 so far in Pac-12 play, including three consecutive victories over ranked teams.
But one clear area of needed improvement? The fourth quarter. The No. 11 Beavers have been outscored 119-93 in the final period during conference play, a mark partially inflated by OSU topping Washington State 20-4 in the last 10 minutes in its Pac-12 opener.
"Our opponents have raised their intensity, and we have not matched that," coach Scott Rueck said. "We haven't necessarily not played intense; we just have not matched it. We have played, in my opinion, to the scoreboard a bit, where you can't do that.
