Ben Bolch of the Los Angeles Times joined me on the radio show to talk about UCLA football, and how they've built themselves to compete with more physical teams like Stanford.
"There was some noticeable gains (in strength and size) and kind of a shift of focus of being a team that could go toe-to-toe with Stanfords and more physical teams," Bolch said. "... they've completely revamped their offense to go that route with adding a tight end and fullback to go with a pro-style offense... "
UCLA plays Stanford in the Pac-12 opener. The Bruins were shoved around by Stanford and Nebraska to finish last football season.
