While Gary Andersen takes public blame, Oregon State Beavers hold each other accountable

CORVALLIS — Immediately following Oregon State's latest lopsided defeat, Gary Andersen sat before a group of reporters inside Colorado's football facility and literally and figuratively pointed to himself.

"Put all the blame on me," Andersen said, hand patting his chest. "That's fine. I'll take it. It's like I told the kids, I got thick skin. I'm a grown man. I can deal with it."

But as the Beavers themselves say: Players make plays, players win games. That's why, just a few minutes after Andersen's comments, Beavers senior safety Devin Chappell highlighted his own on-field blunder, how he bit on a double move by Shay Fields that allowed the Colorado receiver to break free for Buffaloes' first touchdown in a 47-6 drubbing.
