Weisner and Hamblin going to the WNBA

In this year's WNBA draft Pac-12 Player of the Year and All-American Jamie Weisner went in the second round to the Connecticut Sun (15-19 last season), and two-time Pac-12 Defensive Player of the year Ruth Hamblin will be playing for the Dallas Wings (formerly the Tulsa Shock).

Connecticut is in a rebuilding phase after a last place finish the previous year. The Sun will be the youngest team in the WNBA and will be coached by first year coach Curt Miller, and Weisner will be playing alongside former Stanford great Chiney Ogwumike and UConn's Morgan Tuck who went to the Sun as the #3 pick in this year's draft.
