Oregon State head coach Gary Andersen on Wednesday said that quarterback Jake Luton is "progressing" and that his spirits were good following an injury against Washington State last weekend that left the Beavers' starter with a thoracic spine fracture.

"We're working to do exactly what we need to do to get him back here and get him on schedule," Andersen said following Wednesday's practice in Corvallis.

On Monday the Beavers listed Luton as "week-to-week."

In the video above, Andersen discusses how the team has responded to Luton's injury and getting backup Darell Garretson ready to start for OSU's next game.
