CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State volleyball team scrapped and fended off four match-points in the final set but ultimately fell to No. 2 Stanford in three sets Sunday afternoon. It was the fourth time in six Pac-12 matches, the Beavers have faced a ranked team.
The Beavers fell to 11-7 overall, and 1-5 in Pac-12 play, with the loss to the second-ranked Cardinal, which improved to 13-2, 6-0. Set scores were 25-15, 25-18, and 29-27.
Trailing 2-0 at the intermission, Oregon State came back from the locker room looking to turn around the match.
