LOWELL, Ore. – The Oregon State’s women’s Varsity 8 won its morning race and placed third in the afternoon race, defeating Oklahoma and Central Florida in both instances, to lead the Beavers on Saturday at the fourth annual OSU Crew Classic at Dexter Lake.
“They did a great job all day, just sticking with their plan and staying composed from start to finish,” OSU coach Emily Ford said. “They are a tough crew, so I had a feeling they could get the job done.”
The second Varsity 8 placed second in the morning and fourth in the afternoon, edged by Oklahoma by less than two seconds in both races.
