LOS ANGELES - Oregon State men's basketball battled all the way back from a 13-point deficit in the first half, but lost to UCLA 75-68 at Pauley Pavilion.
Top performances: Making his third career start, freshman forward Alfred Hollins set a new career-high with 24 points and six rebounds. Tres Tinkle rebounded from a slow start to finish with 11 points, seven assists and four rebounds. Stephen Thompson Jr. had 13 points, five rebounds and four assists, and Drew Eubanks had six points, nine rebounds and six blocks.
For UCLA, Aaron Holiday had 17 points and 10 assists, while Thomas Welsh added 15 points and 17 rebounds.
