Tyler Carlson fired a 1-under-par 70, and Trevor Yu and Kevin Murphy each carded even par 71s as the Oregon State men’s golf team made a dramatic move up the leaderboard after two rounds of the 54-hole Bandon Dunes Championship at the 6,682-yard Bandon Trails Course.
The Beavers improved from 11th place to 7th thanks to a 21-stroke improvement from 308 the first day to 287 on Monday. OSU is just one shot out of sixth place, sitting at 595, and six strokes out of the top five.
Yu and Murphy lead the Beavers, both tied at 17th place at 147, after identical rounds of 76 and 71.
