CORVALLIS -- In the spring of 2014, Treston Decoud received another piece of sobering news.
He was academically ineligible at Nicholls State, his second college in less than three years. He had transferred there to be closer to his mother, Chandrika, while she battled cancer for the second time.
"Right then and there, I thought my football career was kind of over," Decoud said. "But I just kept on pushing."
Three years later, the former Oregon State cornerback is in position to hear his name called during this weekend's NFL draft.
