CORVALLIS — Eyes focused on the back-and-forth of a fast-break drill, Tres Tinkle wrapped a resistance band around his right foot and pulled the elastic up to his chest with both hands.
He mimicked the motion of pushing down on a pedal, an exercise following an elliptical workout meant to build up the calf muscle strength he has lost over the past four-plus months.
"If it was the middle of the season right now, I probably could start playing on it," Tinkle told The Oregonian/OregonLive following the workout. "But since it's not, there's no reason to rush it.
