Rivals three-star safety TraJon Cotton had more than 10 offers entering this week, but hadn't heard from his childhood favorite, the Oregon Ducks, in several days.
Out of the blue, that changed when Oregon defensive back coach John Neal sent the 6-foot-1, 180-pound athlete, out of Inderkum High School (Sacramento, California), a message on Twitter.
"Hey, we are offering you a scholarship to attend the University of Oregon," Cotton said, reading the message.
For the future safety, the offer was a game-changer in his recruitment.
"Man, I'm extremely blessed. That was my dream school growing up with their flashy uniforms and running around the field," he said.
