Star forward Tres Tinkle poured in 27 points and guard Ethan Thompson added 16 points of his own on Wednesday night, in the Beavers 11-point win over UC-Santa Barbara.
Oregon State built off a seven-point half-time lead to put the Gauchos away in the second half and move to 4-1 overall on the season, with a 3-0 mark at home. In addition to his huge scoring night, Tinkle also snagged a game-high 11 rebounds, while Thompson shot an impressive 8-12 from the field.
The Beavers got much needed contributions from Alfred Hollins too, who tallied 13 points (5-7 FG) and 5 rebounds, and center Kylor Kelley who scored 6 points and swatted away 6 UC-Santa Barbara shots.
