Three-Star 2018 Safety Halid Djibril Commits To Oregon State

Sticking to a new emphasis being place on the defensive side of things by head coach Gary Andersen, Oregon State added their third defensive stand-out to their 2018 recruiting class on Saturday, when three-star safety/linebacker Halid Djibril announced his commitment to the Beavers via a post on his Twitter account. Djibril chose Oregon State over offers from a wealth of other programs, including Boise State, Boston College, Colorado, Colorado State, Hawai’i, Illinois, Iowa State, Nevada, San Jose State, Utah State and Washington State.

A defensive back from Los Angeles’ Cathedral High School, the same school as Oregon State’s 2017 commits in wide receiver Arex Flemings and cornerback Jeffrey Manning, Djibril is now the third member of the Beavers’ 2018 recruiting class overall, all of whom are defensive emphasis players from the state of California.
