Oregon State lost its head coach in shocking fashion Monday after a majorly disappointing 1-5 start. Yet the Beavers rebounded with their best performance of the season under interim coach Cory Hall, closing an emotional week in strong fashion despite falling for the sixth time in seven games.
1. Despite the loss, Cory Hall kept things positive at his post-game press conference by pointing to the ways the Beavers won the statistical battles. OSU had advantages in total yards (569-385), first downs (30-25), third down conversion rate (10-for-15 to 7-for-12), sacks (2-0) and tackles for loss (4-2).
